The R3000 Sprinkler

Our premier pivot sprinkler. Engineered for the highest level of performance. 

Nelson is leveraging recent progress in design and manufacturing technology to produce plates with complicated and advanced geometries. The result of these advances is the R3000 Rotator®, the world’s premier pivot sprinkler, featuring the widest throw on drops and highest uniformity. It operates on a proven, patented drive principle with an economic design that features only one moving part. Expect the highest levels of reliability and long wear life, even under tough field conditions.
The 3TN “One” Nozzle system is the center of the 3000 Series Pivot Product line. Each sprinkler is made up of an assembly of a cap, plate, body and nozzle. The 3TN Nozzle is interchangeable with all 3000 Series sprinklers. A variety of connection devices are available to link the sprinkler with a hose or rigid drop.

The O3000 Orbitor features new technology that eliminates the struts of a sprinkler body to provide outstanding uniformity and optimal droplets at low operating pressures.

 Designed with an innovative, bracketless assembly, debris hang up and water pattern misting common to conventional sprinklers are mitigated. Irrigators can expect long wear life, reliable operation, and durability, even in the toughest water conditions. The O3000 is streamlined for excellent movement through canopy and over field obstacles. This off-axis sprinkler replaces the old-style Nelson N3000 Nutator. The O3000 Orbitor is available with the choice of three different plate options to meet specific irrigation needs. The standard angle BLACK PLATE has 9 grooves for optimum uniformity and maximum throw. The low angle BLUE PLATE has 9 grooves and provides maximum wind-fighting ability. The new PURPLE PLATE delivers a consistently smaller droplet — ideal for germination of crops and soils requiring finer droplets. 

We are pleased to offer the plastic-cover version of the O3000 Orbitor. This sprinkler does not have the weighted cover like the initial product offering. This makes it a great retrofit option for systems that already have poly weights. It requires 3/4” NPT threaded weights only. Do not use any other slip weights. Pressure regulate to 10 psi (0.7 bar).

The S3000 Spinner is a low-pressure alternative to fixed sprayheads, providing higher uniformity with better overlap and lower application rates.

Developed as a variation of the original Nelson Pivot Rotator®, the Spinner has proven to be a popular sprinkler choice for use on sensitive crops and soils that do well under a more gentle application of water. The S3000 uses the spinning action of the rotor plate to produce a desirable canopy of droplets. No special mounting assembly required because the S3000 Spinner operates without vibration. Retrofit on rigid, semi-rigid, or flexible drop hose assemblies.

Accelerator

Designed as a hybrid of Rotator® and Spinner technology, the A3000 Accelerator increases rotation speed through the nozzle range. This allows for optimal throw and droplet characteristics.

The Gold Plate for the A3000 Accelerator creates a wide throw pattern, providing a lower application rate and longer soak time for better infiltration and reduced runoff. Choose the Maroon Plate for a low stream height and maximum wind-fighting performance. Use with the Sprinkler Converter for three-in-one capabilities (irrigate, spray and LEPA or chemigate).

The new Navy A3000 Plate takes this low pressure Rotator technology to an up-top application.

Sprayhead

The D3000 Sprayhead is a fixed-spray sprinkler which produces a variety of patterns depending upon the specific spray plate selected. New, multi-trajectory plates provide greater throw and better wind-fighting capabilities.

The D3000 incorporates a flip-over spray cap, allowing for a choice of snap-in spray plates to produce a germination, irrigation, or chemigation spray pattern for different seasonal and field needs. Designed for low-energy, down-in-the-crop irrigation, the crop-guarded body is easily convertible into LEPA applications.

Trashbuster

Developed for the land application of wastewater, the T3000 Trashbuster is an excellent solution that provides both agronomic and environmental benefits. Use with select Rotator plates and a R3000 Cap/Motor or Spray plates and D3000 Cap.

The open design allows for debris to pass through easily, alleviating build up of material on the plate and body. The optional 3000FC Nozzle not only eliminates the need for pressure regulators, but it also allows larger debris to pass through compared to a conventional 3TN Nozzle. It is not to be used on flexible hose drop assemblies.
